Fished the river today, the sea was like glass never done very well no cod plenty of good size whiting ,
But what did happen there was a lot of small boats out ,some fishing mid river
leading to complaints to mersey radio from one of the larger ships . which could cause problems this winter

Well done Ron and Dave. Idiots fishing in the channel will spoil it for everyone. Wirral small boats had cod to 8-12-0

mersey radio or as its called now v.t.s. controls all the shipping on the mersey (channel 12 ) they have the power to close the mersey to recreational fishing they can enforce none anchoring zones wherever they feel like they are not a body to mess about with, any boat anchored in the shipping lanes are likely to get us all in trouble, boats fishing with in 150 yards of the pier head and well into the shipping lanes is asking for trouble
