Winter league, as you have noticed most of the matches are going to be Whiting, dabs poss codling(dogs from Llandudno) so bait selection will be easy, its safe to say this winter league will be NO CRAB
this wont deter from the fishing, it just means everybody is in the same boat/beach as everyone else.

Are we looking at banning anything else while we are at it? Anything that gives an unfair advantage

if crab is not going to be an advantage this winter because of the venues we are fishing then why ban it i know myself that if i can get any peelers this winter i am not going to waste them on whiting i will save them for cod fishing in the river

I think Mark has banned crab to try and bring more anglers in to fish the winter League. That means that i will possibly be involved in 3 leagues that have a crab ban in place. The organisers are trying to bring in more anglers and i can see there point. Just hope that this works. Is there anyone on this forum that didnt fish last years winter league that will take part in this one due to the crab ban?

Yes Steve
hopefully we will see more anglers this year.
No crab coupled with sunday matches should do this.
As this will be my last winter league as captain lets make it a good one, I thimk there will be plenty of fish this year.
