Where did the fish come from Keith?, rocks or clock tower?

Steve
most came from the Clock Tower.. there were a few 12 to 13 inchers caught but only 4 insize fish...
it was bloody cold though,,,,roll on the summer where you can fish without 20 layers on! Shocked

Congratulations to Jedi for coming 1st in the winter league also a double whammy as Colin Cooke won the cod cup competition

Thanks to Keith for being captain and arranging the fixtures

Although the fishing all over winter has been abismal not for the lack of trying and using good/fresh bait when we could. Concern being the ammount of small fish also not being present in the river this year could lead to a bad 2010 winter fingers crossed I'am wrong

Roll on the rest of the year and hopefully good fishing good weather and more boats joining the faithfuls

well done Jedi, looking good for our trip on Friday,i was talking to a guy in the marina last week who nets the Mersey for shrimp he tells me all winter his nets have been full of sprat says the sea cat went passed him last week and the gulls where having a field day following it picking up dead sprat if thats true then the cod might be there but stuffed maybe its another sign of the river getting cleaner

A mate reports double shots of 8-10" codling on peeler in the river today. Is it a spring run coming in? usually a few bigger ones amongst them
