POLSAF minutes 04.03.2010.

Following the accounting omissions by the previous pass officer and the sums of monies believed to belong to POLSAF we have accepted the proposal that
for the next 2 years all pass monies will be paid directly to POLSAF. This will cover all the renewals and any new pass issues. POLSAF have opened a bank account and will therefore be responsible for itís own finances.

All passes expire on Aug 31st and therefore must be renewed. Clubs are required to submit a list of members wishing to renew and 5 pounds per head by end of July.

The pass office is willing to issue up to 3 vehicle passes per angler providing proof of entitlement to drive is provided.
The pass office will also issue F.O.C passes to carers required to aid disabled anglers. Proof of identity will be required and the carer will not be allowed to fish.

The date for the AGM has been set for April 15th in the evening, venue to be arranged. We had hoped to use Maritime House but security will not allow it.
All committee posts will be up for election. Each club may bring a maximum of 3 delegates.

A re-affiliation fee of 10 pounds per club is payable at the AGM. Clubs are also requested to bring an up to date member list and a list of lapsed members who hold a POLSAF pass.

It has been reported to ISPS officer that there are dangerous and severely rusted handrails on the wall, she will report the matter to H&S.
Anglers have been leaving pallets and concrete blocks on the wall, although we accept they are left for someone else to use they do present a trip hazard. Anglers are requested to remove any such materials when they are finished.
It was proposed and seconded that POLSAF have a website, members with experience in the area were asked to investigate and report to the next meeting.
Shaun Ripley and Brian Margetts informed the meeting of the ray tagging study underway on the Mersey. It is being run jointly by Liverpool Museum and The Shark Trust.
More information available.

Shaun from The Buccaneers is a 'trained' tagger and will be tagging any rays caught while he is around on The Mersey.

There is a small reward for catching and notifying the relevant people about your tagged ray.Next meeting set for 15th June, will be an evening meeting, venue to be announced.
