Hi to all
Just spent 10 days in Caernarfon to try and get some boat fishing. The first six days unable to get afloat as too windy. However managed to fish Thursday[29th May] and had a great days fishing with mate Gary. Caught approx 20 {yes 20 ] Bass six were around 5/6 pounds the rest schoolies around one to one and a half pounds, 1 black bream 2/3 pounds, doggies and dabs just outside Fort Belan. Saturday we fished Caernarfon Bay first on a wreck, then off Trefor Pier [now closed to public use] ,the "lost village" bay between Trefor and Nefyn and then 1 mile or so out into the bay. We caught a few schoolie bass, mackerel , about 10 small pollack 1/2 lbs, 1 black bream 2lbs approx, doggies, dabs and two bull huss about 10/12 lbs. On Saturday and Sunday I fished with my two sons. Problems with weed for the next two days. Saturday we caught a couple of schoolie bass, about a dozen mackerel, a small red guarnard, a few small pollack and a black bream about 1lb as well as doggies and a couple of small dabs. Sunday we tried drift fishing for Bass and although getting bites we just couldn't hook them and as the wind had increased in strength we only fished for just over a couple of hours without any success. Steve
